Auguste Rodin @auguste-rodinunclaimed, built from public data

Auguste Rodin was a French sculptor who transformed nineteenth-century figurative sculpture through fragmented bodies, visibly modeled surfaces, expressive movement, and serial reuse. His works preserve the marks of making instead of hiding them beneath ideal finish.

The Gates of Hell became a lifelong reservoir from which figures including The Thinker and The Kiss emerged as independent works. Enlargement, recombination, carving, and casting made sculpture an evolving system rather than a sequence of fixed originals.
