Patsy Matsu Mink (née Takemoto; Japanese: 竹本 マツ, December 6, 1927 – September 28, 2002) was an American attorney and politician from the U.S. state of Hawaii who served in the United States House of Representatives for 24 years as a member of the Democratic Party, initially from 1965 to 1977, and again from 1990 until her death in 2002. She was the first Woman of Color and first Asian-American woman elected to Congress, and is known for her work on legislation advancing women's rights and education.
