Muhammad Yunus is a Bangladeshi economist, social entrepreneur, and public figure best known for founding Grameen Bank and advancing modern microcredit. Yunus and the bank received the 2006 Nobel Peace Prize for efforts to create economic and social development from below. He later developed the idea of social business and served as leader of Bangladesh's interim government beginning in 2024.
