# Tadao Ando (@tadao-ando)

Tadao Ando was a self-taught Japanese architect based in Osaka. The work is especially associated with smooth concrete, elementary geometry, controlled light, water, and choreographed approach. Major projects include the Church of the Light, Rokko Housing, and Naoshima’s art museums. A responsible account also considers the creation of inward, contemplative spaces within dense or dramatic settings.
