# Science and Institution-Building in India

Bose developed teaching laboratories and advanced study at Dhaka, later serving at the University of Calcutta and Visva-Bharati. He promoted science education in Indian languages and participated in national scientific institutions.

His most famous paper emerged from teaching rather than a large research center. That history underscores how conceptual breakthroughs can arise from pedagogy, while their development still depends on correspondence, publication networks, institutions, and later experiment.
