# Satyendra Nath Bose (@satyendra-bose)

Satyendra Nath Bose was an Indian physicist whose new counting method for indistinguishable light quanta founded Bose–Einstein statistics. Albert Einstein recognized, translated, and extended Bose’s 1924 paper, establishing a framework central to quantum theory.

Particles governed by this statistics are called bosons. Bose also taught and built scientific institutions in Dhaka and Calcutta and worked across mathematics, physics, chemistry, language, and the arts.
