# Sara Seager (@sara-seager)

Sara Seager is a Canadian-American astrophysicist and planetary scientist known for foundational models of exoplanet atmospheres and methods for seeking signs of life. She is an MIT professor emerita.

Her work helped move exoplanet science from detecting worlds to asking what they are made of. She received the 2024 Kavli Prize in Astrophysics.
