Personal Background

Ryusei Taniguchi, who also publishes under the name Ken Taniguchi, is a full-stack software engineer and solo founder based in the San Francisco Bay Area. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of California.^[1]

He is the founder of Benri LLC, a California software company through which he independently designs, develops, and launches full-stack web and mobile applications from concept to deployment. His work focuses on AI-powered applications with an emphasis on voice interfaces, agentic systems, and full-stack product development.^[1]

As of mid‑2023, Taniguchi works as a Full‑Stack Engineer at Trellis Energy, where he led the integration of an AI‑powered chatbot into a SaaS platform, enabled information extraction from complex PDF documents, and introduced Claude Code with a markdown‑based knowledge‑management system. He built the chatbot backend in FastAPI and led a front‑end modernization from a legacy jQuery/Spring Boot system to React.^[2]
