# Narrative Economics

Narrative economics studies economically consequential stories that spread through conversation and media, shape expectations, and influence action. Narratives can make an event memorable, supply causal meaning, and coordinate behavior, producing feedback into markets and policy. Shiller argues that economists should track their diffusion alongside prices and quantities without treating every story as a sufficient cause.
