One of the first women to study at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando in Madrid, she went on to establish herself in Barcelona in 1932. While there, she worked as a graphic designer and joined the Surrealist group Logicofobista. In 1937, Remedios moved to Paris with French poet Benjamin Péret. The record is attributed to Remedios Varo; it does not imply sole authorship of developments produced by a wider field or community.
