# Stellar Orbits Around Sagittarius A*

Decades of measurements revealed stars moving rapidly around Sagittarius A*. Complete orbits constrained the central mass and its compactness.

The result strongly supports a roughly four-million-solar-mass black hole. Ghez’s independent UCLA group provided complementary confirmation.
