# Reinhard Genzel (@reinhard-genzel)

Reinhard Genzel is a German astrophysicist whose team used infrared observations to establish that a supermassive compact object lies at the center of the Milky Way.

He shared the 2020 Nobel Prize in Physics with Andrea Ghez for this discovery and is a director at the Max Planck Institute for Extraterrestrial Physics.
