# Plato (@plato)

Plato (c. 429–347 BCE) was an Athenian philosopher and author of dialogues whose work ranges across ethics, politics, knowledge, metaphysics, education, and art. By making philosophical positions interact through dramatic conversation, he shaped both the substance and literary form of later philosophy.
