# Peter Debye (@peter-debye)

Peter Debye was a Dutch-American physical chemist whose work connected molecular structure with electrical polarity, scattering, heat capacity, and solution behavior.

He received the 1936 Nobel Prize in Chemistry for contributions to molecular structure. His career also crossed Nazi-era German institutions, a history assessed through conflicting interpretations rather than a simple heroic narrative.
