# Paul Samuelson (@paul-samuelson)

Paul Samuelson was an American economist who helped make mathematical analysis a common language across modern economics. His research ranged from consumer theory and trade to public goods, finance, growth, welfare, and macroeconomic policy. At MIT he also shaped a major economics department and wrote an influential introductory textbook.
