# Knowledge and Intellectual Activism

Collins examines who is recognized as a knower, which methods gain authority, and how social position shapes questions and standards of credibility. Black feminist epistemology values dialogue, lived experience, accountability, and an ethic of care without abandoning critical evaluation.

Her idea of intellectual activism connects scholarship to struggles for justice. It treats theory and practice as mutually informative rather than assigning legitimate knowledge only to professional academics.
