# Max Weber (@max-weber)

Max Weber was a German scholar whose comparative studies of economy, religion, law, politics, and administration helped shape modern sociology. His work asked how people give meaning to action and how modern institutions acquire distinctive forms of authority and rational organization.

Weber is especially associated with the Protestant ethic thesis, rationalization, ideal types, and the analysis of legitimate domination. His influence reaches sociology, political science, history, religious studies, and economic thought.
