# Massimo Vignelli (@massimo-vignelli)

Massimo Vignelli was a Italian-born designer whose New York practice ranged across graphics, products, and interiors. The work is associated with grids, disciplined typography, reduced palettes, and coherent identity systems. Major examples include the New York subway diagram, Knoll graphics, American Airlines identity, and the Stendig calendar. A balanced account also considers his belief that a limited formal vocabulary could address many kinds of design.
