# Lech Wałęsa (@lekh-walesa)

Lech Wałęsa (born 1943) is a Polish electrician, trade-union leader, dissident, Nobel Peace Prize laureate, and former president. As the most visible leader of Solidarity, he helped turn workplace resistance into a mass nonviolent movement that negotiated the end of communist rule in Poland.
