Violence, Representation, and Advocacy

Crenshaw has applied intersectional analysis to violence against women, policing, incarceration, and the public representation of women and girls of color. These projects examine how policy and media can overlook harms that do not fit dominant narratives.

Through the African American Policy Forum, she links research to campaigns, public resources, and coalition work. This practice shows intersectionality operating as both diagnosis and a guide to institutional response.
