# Ingvar Kamprad (@ingvar-kamprad)

Ingvar Kamprad (1926–2018) was a Swedish entrepreneur who registered IKEA in 1943 and shaped its shift from mail-order trading to affordable home furnishings. His principal contribution was a system—low prices, supplier collaboration, compact distribution, customer assembly, and a strong internal culture—rather than a single furniture invention.
