# I. M. Pei (@i-m-pei)

I. M. Pei was a Chinese-born American architect who joined modern geometry with civic monumentality. The work is especially associated with precise geometry, light, stone, glass, and carefully staged movement. Major projects include the East Building of the National Gallery, the Louvre Pyramid, and the Bank of China Tower. A responsible account also considers the adaptation of modernism to museums and major public institutions.
