# Bounded Rationality and Satisficing

Simon argued that decision makers lack unlimited information, time, and computational power. Rather than globally optimize, they often search until finding an alternative that meets an aspiration level—a strategy called satisficing. Rationality must therefore be studied relative to cognitive limits and the environment's structure, not only against an ideal of complete calculation.
