# War Drawings and Public Monument

During the Blitz, Moore drew people sheltering in London Underground stations, turning repeated bodies and tunnels into images of vulnerability and endurance.

After the war, major commissions made his abstracted humanism a language of civic rebuilding. The later Foundation redirected his success toward access to sculpture and support for artists.
