# Henry Moore (@henry-moore)

Henry Moore was a British sculptor whose reclining figures, family groups, and pierced organic forms became central to twentieth-century public sculpture. He drew on the human body, bones, stones, landscape, and global sculptural traditions to make mass and void equally active.

His work moved from direct carving toward modeling and monumental bronze, often designed for outdoor sites. Wartime shelter drawings and postwar commissions expanded his public reputation far beyond Britain.
