# Pluralist Political Economy

Chang presents economics as a field of competing schools rather than a single settled method. Different frameworks foreground production, class, institutions, uncertainty, power, individual choice, or historical change. Pluralism does not mean every claim is equally sound; it means comparing assumptions and evidence before selecting tools for a particular problem.
