# Giovanni Domenico Cassini (@giovanni-cassini)

Giovanni Domenico Cassini was an Italian-born astronomer who became the first director of the Paris Observatory. He discovered four moons of Saturn and the major gap in its rings called the Cassini Division.

His work also improved measurements of planetary rotation, solar-system scale, and geographic longitude.
