# Nuclear Chain Reactions and Institutions

After fission was recognized, Joliot-Curie and colleagues investigated neutron multiplication and patented reactor-related ideas.

He later led French atomic-energy institutions and helped construct the country’s first research reactor. These were team and state projects, not personal inventions.
