# Frederic Joliot-Curie (@frederic-joliot-curie)

Frederic Joliot-Curie was a French physicist and chemist who discovered artificial radioactivity with Irene Joliot-Curie. They shared the 1935 Nobel Prize in Chemistry.

He later contributed to nuclear chain-reaction research, built French scientific institutions, joined the Resistance, and became a prominent peace activist.
