# Epicurus (@epicurus)

Epicurus (341–270 BCE) was a Greek philosopher who developed an atomist account of nature and an ethics centered on freedom from bodily distress and mental disturbance. Most of his extensive writing is lost; his views survive through letters, maxims, fragments, and later reports.
