# Edmond Halley (@edmond-halley)

Edmond Halley was an English astronomer and mathematician who used Newtonian gravity and historical observations to predict the return of the comet now bearing his name.

He also mapped southern stars, studied geomagnetism, winds, mortality, and planetary transits, and helped bring Newton’s Principia into print.
