# Boycotts, Negotiation, and Law

Huerta treated negotiation and legislation as extensions of organizing. Boycotts created economic pressure, while contracts translated that pressure into enforceable workplace gains.

She also advocated legal recognition for farmworker collective bargaining in California. This combination of grassroots mobilization and institutional change became a defining feature of her labor strategy.
