# Dieter Rams (@dieter-rams)

Dieter Rams was a German industrial designer whose long career at Braun shaped modern product design. The work is associated with clarity, restraint, usability, systematic product families, and his ten principles for good design. Major examples include Braun radios, audio systems, shavers, and the 606 Universal Shelving System for Vitsœ. A balanced account also considers his influence on later consumer electronics and the ethical claim that good design should be long-lasting.
