# Didier Queloz (@didier-queloz)

Didier Queloz is a Swiss astronomer who, as Michel Mayor’s doctoral student, co-discovered 51 Pegasi b, the first confirmed planet orbiting a Sun-like star. They shared half of the 2019 Nobel Prize in Physics.

Queloz now leads research on exoplanet detection, formation, atmospheres, and possible life, with affiliations including Cambridge and ETH Zurich.
