# Deirdre McCloskey (@deirdre-mccloskey)

Deirdre McCloskey is an American economist, historian, and rhetorician whose work crosses economic history, methodology, ethics, liberalism, and statistical practice. UIC records her interdisciplinary career across economics, history, English, communication, and philosophy. Her scholarship asks both how modern prosperity emerged and how economists persuade one another.
