# Dag Hammarskjöld (@dag-hammarskjold)

Dag Hammarskjöld (1905–1961) was a Swedish economist and diplomat who served as the UN's second secretary-general. He strengthened the office's independence and helped develop peacekeeping before dying on a Congo peace mission.
