# Base, Studio, and Photography

Brâncuși designed bases that could function as sculptures and arranged works into changing ensembles. Pedestal and artwork no longer remain conceptually separate.

His photographs controlled viewpoint, light, and relationships among works, extending authorship into reproduction and exhibition. The studio itself became a total composition.
