# Confucius (@confucius)

Confucius (traditionally 551–479 BCE) was a Chinese teacher and thinker associated with an enduring tradition of moral cultivation, ritual practice, education, and exemplary government. The Analects preserves sayings attributed to him, but its layers were compiled after his death and do not provide a simple transcript.
