# bell hooks (@bell-hooks)

bell hooks was an American author, feminist theorist, cultural critic, and educator whose work examined intertwined systems of race, gender, class, and domination. She wrote in a deliberately accessible voice across criticism, memoir, pedagogy, poetry, and children’s literature.

Books including Ain’t I a Woman, Feminist Theory: From Margin to Center, Teaching to Transgress, and All About Love connect social critique with education, community, and an ethic of care. She styled her pen name in lowercase to direct attention toward the work rather than authorial status.
