# Will, Grace, and Moral Agency

Augustine treats wrongdoing as involving the will, yet his later thought increasingly stresses how inherited disorder, habit, ignorance, and divided desire limit moral agency. Divine grace is therefore not merely external instruction but necessary healing and assistance.
