# Alain Aspect (@alain-aspect)

Alain Aspect is a French experimental physicist whose early-1980s photon experiments produced influential tests of Bell inequalities. By switching measurement settings while entangled photons were in flight, his team addressed an important weakness in earlier tests.

Aspect shared the 2022 Nobel Prize in Physics with John Clauser and Anton Zeilinger. He is associated with Institut d’Optique–Université Paris-Saclay, École Polytechnique, and CNRS.
