# Akio Morita (@akio-morita)

Akio Morita (1921–1999) was a Japanese business executive who co-founded the company later named Sony with engineer Masaru Ibuka. Morita helped translate technical products into international consumer markets and backed new categories of portable electronics, most famously the Walkman.
