# Ada Lovelace (@ada-lovelace)

Ada Lovelace was a nineteenth-century mathematician whose 1843 translation and notes became one of the clearest contemporary accounts of Charles Babbage's proposed Analytical Engine. She interpreted the machine not merely as a calculator but as a general symbol-manipulating system.
